The Triplets – Wedding Celebration

A colourful print by Hambis Tsangaris from his illustrated book The Triplets and the Dragon of the Apple Tree (Οι Τρίπλαροι τζαι ο Δράκος της Μηλιάς).

The scene comes towards the end of the Cypriot folk tale, after the youngest of the three brothers forgives his brothers despite their betrayal. Recognising his courage and character, the king chooses him as his successor. The story concludes with weddings and a month-long celebration to which the whole kingdom is invited.
