Woodblock – Dragon 3

Hand-carved from sustainably sourced Sheesham wood, this woodblock features a dragon motif taken from Hambis Tsangaris’s illustrated Cypriot folk tale A Folk Tale from Cyprus: Spanos and the Forty Dragons (Ο Σπανός τζι’ οι Σαράντα Δράτζιοι).

How to use: Apply a thin, even layer of water-based ink or paint to the carved surface (white part) of the block using a sponge or roller. Place the block firmly onto paper or fabric and press evenly before lifting it straight up. For best results, test your print first and use a padded, flat surface underneath. The block can also be pressed directly into soft clay to create an impression.
